Strong finish to season highlighted by area-best 30th-place finish in Illinois Class 3A state meet in personal-best time of 14:54. The week before that, Capistrant was the sectional runner-up behind Granite City's Andrew O'Keefe — by only .38.

Six top-10 finishes included team-leading fourth-place showings in both the district and sectional meets. Then earned all-state honors by crossing 15th in Class 4 state meet, helping Longhorns to third-place team trophy. Top time was 16:12.1 in Parkway...

Ninth-place finish in Illinois Class 1A state meet was Goebel's lowest in 13 races. Outstanding season included seven victories at three different distances, including 5-kilometer Tiger Classic at Edwardsville against runners of higher classifications....

Season-best time of 16:12 was seventh-best 5-kilometer performance in the area and good for third-place finish in Parkway West Invitational. Seventh in both district and sectional races and 31st at Class 4 state meet to help Longhorns to third-place team

Runner-up in both conference and regional meets behind Granite City's Andrew O'Keefe and then fifth-place finisher at sectionals. Ran a personal-best 15:07 to finish 52nd in Class 3A state meet.

Four-time Class 1A Illinois state qualifier finished his high school career with best finish of seventh in a season-best time of 15:08 that was his best at state. Parrish also was second at regional meet and third in the sectional
