Dugan and Oleson honored by A-10

Saint Louis' indoor track and field squads competed at Indiana University's Hoosier Open and Southern Illinois University's Saluki Fast Start meet this weekend.

Alex Oleson was named the men's Field Performer of the Week, while Katie Wissing was tabbed the women's Rookie of the Week.

There were several PRs and school records met at the meet.

The women's program has a cumulative GPA of 3.53, which is tied for 20th in the nation. The men's program has a 3.41 GPA, which ranks 11th nationally.

Sophomores Manuel De Backer and Ann Harlos competed for the Billikens, and both finished ahead of their regional ranking heading into the competition.

Senior Hiob Gebisso and sophomore Brett Kowalczyk were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic team, the league announced today.

Duo will look to qualify for NCAA Championships held June 7-10 in Eugene, Oregon.

The Billikens' men's team finished fourth overall, its best ever showing, while registering a school-record 75 points.
