[Men's Track & Field] Trojans Continue to Improve in Good WeatherPublished by
Liberty, Mo – The Trojan's traveled to William Jewell this weekend to compete alongside DII and DIII competition. This was the biggest meet competition the Trojans have been at this season. Big competition means several personal records were set as was as several Top 10 finishes and a school record were broken. After last weekend's record breaking performance in the discus, Andrew Summerlin topped the list again this week with a heave of 11.89m (39' .25") in shot put, breaking the previous mark of 11.81m (38' 9") held by Alex Earls 12'. Summerlin was just off his PR in discus landing a throw of 36.79m (120' 8.5"). "Andrew continues to amaze me every week. Having taken 2 years of from competing and just learning shot put this indoor season, he is surpassing all expectations I have had for this season for him."
